A World Egg Day celebration

The 2018 World Egg Day took place on Friday, 12 October. This is an annual, egg-dedicated day celebrated on the 2^nd Friday of October with the aim of raising awareness around the benefits of eggs and the role they play in living a healthy lifestyle.

On Saturday, 13 October, Bartlet Eggs had the privilege of featuring on the 1 ½ hour intellectual television program, Ontbytsake on kykNET, DSTV Channel 144. The program is presented by the famous economist Dawie Roodt where he provides summaries of the weekly economical highlights as well as investment markets. Eloise Cupido keeps the program light, small & medium business owners makes their appearance and Leon Gryp updates us on the weather, followed by agriculture news.

The part of the show we live for is presented by Renette Vosloo, the Ontbytsake chef and Kokkedoor contestant. Renette’s unique, out-of-the-box recipe this week was Pinotage-pasteurised Eggs with bacon, mushrooms and salad. They used Bartlet Eggs for this recipe and also shared some interesting egg facts and benefits.
